"This is not the first time that American Rusyns have collected funds to support the church in Peregrymka:

|
- In 1925, organized by Stefan Dutko of Mayfield, Pa and Ivan Jurkovskij;
- In 1960, oganized by Eva Danilo Yurkovsky of Long Island City, NY;
- In 1964, again organized by Eva Yurkovsky;
- In 1966, organized by Mychal Sostak of West Hazleton, PA;
- In 1971-72 organized by Peter J. Yurkovsky.
|
On all these occasions, much of the help came from the main Peregrymka settlements in Mayfield, PA; Singac NJ; Carnegie, PA and Wilkes-Barre, PA; but also from other concerned Rusyns throughout the United States."

In addition to these early appeals which provided immigrant and descendant support to St. Michael's, a plaque in the church entryway lists contributions made approximately fifteen years ago.
